I'm sure most of you don't remember me, but I have a story worth telling. It all started with me sitting in a shelter waiting to be euthanized. Daddy and Mommy from Muttley Farms saw me when they stopped by to save a few others. Mommy said she saw something in my eyes and just knew I needed help.
I lived at Muttley Farms for over a year before my forever family was found, and I had a great time. You can see by one of the photos, I was very thin and that picture was taken the day I arrived. I was taken to the vet and had everything taken care of and the healing process began. I grew stronger and more confident every day because of love and good care. We had an incident where my sister Nala got her tooth caught in my collar, but it wasn't her fault. We were just playing. Mommy heard the commotion and flew outside and she had a hard time getting us untangled. It cut off my air supply and Mommy watched my eyes roll back in my head. Since she's a Respiratory Therapist she knew what to do and I'm hear today because of it. Ever since we were very close. Some really special people saw my Facebook post and asked if they could adopt me especially since they live in another state. Mommy checked references and the decision was made. Daddy and Mommy drove me half way to Kansas to meet my new family and that's truly the best thing that's ever happened. You see, both my parents serve in the military and both were deployed several times. While they were away protecting our country, they made sure my fur sister and I had the best of care. I never realized how many animals lose their families because they don't have anyone to look after them. That's something to think about, isn't it? I know I'm blessed and I'm proud to have been chosen as their military son. Both my parents are home and safe and I was so excited when they returned. I couldn't have asked for a better home and it's all because so many people share these posts. I hope you'll continue to share so that more of my brothers and sisters from Muttley Farms can have what I have. Nothing would make me happier! |
