What’s a guy to do? I’m in a bind and so confused. I’m part of the sibling group that came back so it’s back to the drawing board for me. Problem is I’m even older now at around 12 years of age so who wants me? It was kind of a shock to have all of us come back the same day as you can imagine. Here I am in my golden years and I’m back at Muttley Farms. Don’t get me wrong though because this is an okay place. But I should be sitting in a recliner with my owner and contemplating life. Instead I’m here and there’s only so much of Daddy and Mommy to go around. Mommy is worried because I’m not eating but who can think of food at a time like this? This is some pretty heavy stuff we are dealing with and that includes Mommy. What’s the chances anyone wants an old man like me!
Whew! I had a really close call and I’m exhausted just thinking about it. Let me tell you what happened. This really nice guy driving a pickup truck was driving home from work on 35W. The traffic was really bad but cars seemed to notice something in the center median. As the truck got closer the guy, who we will refer to now as Daddy saw a little head pop up. I would be that something that nobody wanted to bother saving. Fortunately for me Daddy didn’t hesitate. There he was stopping traffic with his shirt and tie on and could have cared less about people being irritated. One other person did stop but they were afraid to touch me because I looked scared. Well duh! I’m a little fella on a busy highway just needing help so what would you do? Daddy reached right out and grabbed me so I wouldn’t get hit by one of the vehicles and held me close. I gotta tell you that I was never so glad to see a human before in my life. Daddy put me in the truck with him and called Mommy and off we went. We had a great conversation on the way to Muttley Farms and I heard Mommy was already making plans to get me to the vet to see if I’m micro chipped. There’s a whole lot of moving parts here but at least I feel safe. I’ve had a bath, good food and clean water so now I’m set wouldn’t you say? Oh and plenty of love and attention plus a cool new name. I’m sure you’ll be hearing more from me but you really should come and visit here. It’s lots of fun.
I was dumped out on a back country road and I’m not very old. I’ll bet you’re curious about how I got my name though. A very special man who was a huge supporter of Muttley Farms was named Clarke. He became very ill so my new Daddy & Mommy went to visit him and thank him for everything he had done. While they were there they promised to name the next big dog after him in his honor. He sounds like he was a very special person and I’m proud I got to have his name. Mommy says it’s obvious my previous humans weren’t very kind to me. I have a lot of scars especially considering I’m so young but my spirit isn’t broken. I’m not sick or anything but I’m scared. Daddy put a special collar on me so I can run and play with everyone else plus there’s toys and everything. I don’t think it will take long for me to trust here because everyone seems really nice so far. My new little brother Richie arrived an hour before me . My new parents have started treating me with CBD extract and I feel great after just a few days. They did their research and found the best. As a matter of fact most of us are using it here and the seniors are acting like pups again. Mommy even feels better since she takes it too! You should message her and find out more about it.
I don’t mean to brag or anything but I think I’m rather good looking. So far nobody has shown any interest in me but I’m still hopeful. Clarke and I stay busy playing all day and we love humans. We don’t have to be adopted together so I’m sure our forever families will find us soon. This is the part you come in. If you’ll tell your friends then maybe it will happen soon. Just a thought......
I’m safe because of so many wonderful people. I never knew I meant anything to anybody and then total strangers reached out to help. A very nice person picked me up from the shelter and brought me to a lady whose name is Mommy. When we first met she gave me a hug and told me she loved me. Wow! I’m finally loved? It was a long ride to get to Muttley Farms but she had a soft bed, treats and water waiting for me. She tried to explain what life would be like from now on but none of that made any sense. Could it be true you don’t have to live in a cage or be mistreated? I’ll get back to you on that and let you know if it’s true or not. A man came home too and his name is Daddy. He’s very nice and he said “welcome to camp” but I’m not sure what that meant. I’m sure I’ll start connecting the dots soon with all this change. Mommy couldn’t get me into the vet until tomorrow morning but I wanted to say a BIG thank you for being so kind and generous. Mommy says you’ll be hearing a lot from me so you can keep track of my progress. I love you all.....
Well my doctor visit was short and sweet. Seems I’ve got an upper respiratory infection but Mommy caught it in time. I just have to take medicine a couple times a day and I’ll be better before you know it. Oh and my treat afterwards was yummy!
I’m just curious what a girls gotta do to get noticed. Daddy & Mommy took me back to the doctor and my ear infection is almost gone. I’ve settled into a nice routine where I eat with the rest of the dogs in the stable whenever I want. I also get a special dinner every night Mommy makes since I sleep on the front porch. I’m very happy now and I’ve learned that nobody is going to hurt me anymore. I just wish Muttley Farms would have gotten me sooner. Seems they think pets are to love and protect and that’s exactly who can adopt from them. I’m confident someone will eventually come along but in the meantime I’m just going to enjoy life.
